Thank you to everyone who helped and brought food to our September 8th potluck luncheon in Palatine, especially Laurie B. and her friends, who were our host group for the day! The food was overflowing, and a couple of people even told me that this was more food than they had ever seen. It is so wonderful, especially as our friends face an increased need for food because of reduced resources in Chicago these days. In fact, one man called in the morning before getting on the bus in Chicago to ask if by any chance he could get extra food to take with him because he was completely out of food and he is on disability. He was so grateful just at the thought of a meal and take-home containers! Everyone was so grateful to be able to not only eat as much as they wanted, all of our friends left with plenty of take-home containers! God is so good, and thank you! Thank you even if you may not have been there in person because you are always a part of every one of our Gatherings as we always purchase and give bus passes and we were also able to purchase McDonald's cards for everyone not to mention the needed supplies and coffee and other expenses that we could not do without all of your help and thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this wonderful Ministry of God's love possible!
