Timothy's Ministry first began in December 2002 as God's answer to my prayer after I cried out to God on my knees the day before my son Tim's birthday (Tim passed away the year before). I remember saying, "Help me, God, if only I could have had the simple joy of baking Tim a cake, what I would have given." Click on "Stories" in the top navigation bar to read how it all began.

TIM'S HOUSE IN CHICAGO

A drop-in Day Center for Timothy's Ministry

Wednesday: 3:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.
(dinner, Bible study, clothing, bus passes, fellowship)
Friday: 9:00 am - 12:30 p.m.
(breakfast, lunch, Bible study, clothing, bus passes, housing assistance, Job/housing/ID applications, fellowship)

Every Wednesday afternoon and Friday morning-afternoon we gather together and provide hot delicious and overflowing home-cooked meals as well as a Bible Study, prayer, clothing, housing assistance, and a time of visiting and checking in to see how each person is doing and what we can do to help. We serve approximately 7000+ meals, provide over 2000 bags of clothing, and over $3,000 worth of bus passes each year in addition to helping people financially with housing and other needs. Corner of Byron and Tripp - Entrance is on Byron near ally.
(located one block West and two blocks South of the I-90 Expressway/Irving Park exit.)

Tim's House Hours:
Wednesday: 3:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. (hot buffet dinner, coffee, dessert, Bible study, prayer & always clothing and bus passes)
Fridays: 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (breakfast, lunch, Bible study, clothing, bus passes, housing assistance, Job/housing/ID applications, fellowship)

Purpose: To provide a safe, loving, and encouraging place for people struggling with homelessness to gather and experience the love of God through Jesus and the truth that they are not alone. There is prayer, conversation, sharing, Bible Study, delicious food, and support with housing, shelters, I.D.s, and love of a family.

I often refer to Tim's House as "God's heartbeat" because there is so much love in this place. People are so grateful to come together and always say 'there is no place like Tim's House' and I know this is because of the presence and love of God in our midst! Everyone helps each other at Tim's House and we have become a family where newcomers are always welcome!
